I just love, love, I mean LOVE to step in a place that smells good and fresh. Call me a picky missy, but one of my biggest turn-offs is to have questionable smells running through my nostrils. Thankfully, my man feels the same way. We have been trying every little air freshener we could find on the market, with more or less success, but always with a stained conscience and an emptied wallet. These things are expensive and they are so terribly toxic to us and the environment.
Lately, I have been doing a lot of research on trying to replace these toxic, synthetic products we use for the home with home natural solutions, giving a second life to things if possible. Spot on!
I have found this really great DIY using citrus rinds and sea salt to make an all-natural yet effective air freshener.
The creator FP Jana claims:
The salt has the ability to release the smell of the citrus while pulling in the unwanted ones.
Sounds pretty cool, right? Find the link here.
A little tip from my side: When you are done carving the citrus fruits, use them for a smoothie or vice-versa. Play it eco-savvy and don’t let any goodness go to waste!
