In this fast-moving world where social interactions have become more and more blurry, and people are wearing multiple personalities that they interchange depending on their needs, it is hard to even define what it is to be REAL.
We don’t know what it is to be ourselves, because most of us have been hiding from it one way or another. We get so caught up in fear of rejection, insecurities, frustration and feeding our ego. Sometimes though, in rare occasions, we get to meet someone who stands out and that lives their very own uniquely crafted life. And it’s the most inspiring thing, because these people have their very own human essence. They radiate self-confidence and peace of mind despite the external reactions. They are true to themselves, genuine. And whether we want to admit it or not, they also inspire us to do so.
I’m not going to lie. As much as this state of mind is what I’m aiming towards, my long-inhabiting insecurities sometimes don’t allow me to stick to this inspiration. I have my weak moments, just like everyone else.
But you know what? It doesn’t matter when you get there, what matters is the journey towards it. The point is to be evolving and growing constantly.
