On this episode of The Orla Collective Podcast we welcome an incredibly inspiring and talented designer Julie, from Julie Conrad design studio.
Julie did not have to make a very complicated decision about what she wanted to do in her life. She knew pretty well that she wanted to be a designer, she pursued it, studied it, did plenty if internships for it, and now she runs her own studio here in Luxembourg.
Julie creates unique furniture, carry-me bags, wallets and laptop cases with interesting concept and all this with mindful and environmentally friendly materials.
What is also special about her work, is her relationship with clients. Every time she gets a request for a new piece, she makes it personal for everyone, she studies and learns what the person would prefer and tries to make the most special piece of furniture for them, and that is what we try to long for in “mindful consumerism”, learning the story of every purchase you make, because there is a story, a person’s hard work behind everything and often we tend to forget about it.
The Orla Collective Podcast is kindly sponsored by Graffiti, the youth show on radio ARA.
